How do you believe in a God you can't see?

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Cor. 4:18. Aren’t you glad God can’t be seen ? In Moses’ day, the way you honored whatever god you followed, was by making statues or carvings of them and then bowing down and worshiping what you had made. That is a God you can comprehend. However, words, statues and even tributes are unable to describe our God because he is bigger than our words, tribute, imaginations and brains. A God you can see is one that constrains himself to space and time. However, an unseen God is one who is not restricted to one place or another. He is everywhere at once.
“so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matt. 6:18 God is unseen so that he can see the heart and unseen struggles and joys of his children.
